As I understand it, FFL Type 03 allows holder to make interstate purchase of qualified C&R weapons that are complete and original. Is it permisable for a individual FFL 03 holder to purchase a complete M-98 Mauser list it in the bound book and then modify it into a sporting style shooter? The regulations don't seem to prohibite this directly, however upon ATF audit the rifle would no longer appear complete and original. |

I understand you log it (out) in your bound book to yourself. Since it's not original military configuration as you state it's no longer a C&R. So the answer is yes. Regards....... |
