I have always been "into" handguns still am.But, recently got very interested in the Mausers and the Mosin Nagant rifles. Bought a "unissued" Finn M39 and decided to get another in "excellent grade".
The last one a "b-barreled" M39 should be the rarest of the breed with some estimates of 4,000, total. Doug Bowser, author of "The rifles of the white death" believes even less and that only a partial shipment from Belgium was ever delivered to Finland.
Happy hunting ! :-)

BTW if you ever have dealings with or about to- Wholesale Guns- ie www.gunsnammo.com I gotta say, those folks are good and I got the first rifle on Thursday 8th of May. I ordered on the 6th. Two days total from New York to Georgia ! Good folks, good dealings not bad prices !

Willyboy, seems like you and I have about the same "likes" in firearms...
Since only one of the three Mausers is in really nice shape, I decided to buy the best I could on the MN's.

I bought a M44 ( Hungarian ) from Century looks like xxx and is really worn but has the best action and trigger pull of any one of the rifles. I think the girl saw alot of action, somewhere. It's stamped 1953. A friend gave me another M44 ( Polish ) dated 1952 that looks almost new. Possibly refinished.
It's so so with the trigger.

If they had not been out of the nice condition SK-Y marked Sako's I would have bought it first.
Just decided not to be a "bottom feeder" with the Finns. :-)
There has got to be a joke waiting there...

Enfields, I just could never find a place in my heart for-leaves more for you...
My dad had me pick up one for my younger brother at Sears years ago.
First surplus rifle I ever bought.
Had them stuffed in a BIG barrel.

Walters- 2 PP's, 1 PKS, Mak-90, SKS....
M1927 BM, misc. even a nice replica of a Colt 1851 .44 cal BP.

No Toks or CZ52's.
