An old friend of mine fought in Germany in WWII with the Canadian Army......the commander let his men pick two souvenirs from the pile of surrendered German weapons. My friend picked a Luger and a P38 and stored them for fifty odd years. He passed away, leaving the weapons to me. I like them for their quality, feel and aesthetic uniqueness buy not for their intended application. They are in really good original condition......nothing is missing, damaged or scratched and all numbers match......other than normal minimal wear on the leather holsters, the German soldier wrote his initials on the inside of one of the holsters. Anyone out there have an idea of the market value? Tks and Regards. |

They're absolutely *worthless*! You shouldn't be shouldered with such trash. You can just send them on to me for proper disposal... Don't believe me, eh? It's always worth a shot <grin> Gary |

I wouldn't expect less than six for the all numbers matching p-38,nor less than eight for the luger. And depending on the condition,up from there,as all numbers matching guns from WWII are somewhat rare.IMHO. |

Of course, Gary got his words mixed up- he meant "priceless" ! ;) I wish I could provide and answer besides most likely a "tidy sum". Regards...... |

Thing about both Lugers & P38s are that the mfr codes & years are very important to collectors. Suggest you look them up in current Blue Book of Gun Values. You need to ber very specific about these two things. |
