Anyone know who's got any Sistema's/Ballestars in stock and how much? JLD/Cruffler say there's a 30 day wait on refinished sistemas/balestars and 45+ day wait on Hartford Colts (called them 2/25/03). SOG has Arsenal Refinished Sistema's w.o. matching #s for 329$ but they have 'em in stock! Any one hearing where there's some decent sistemas/balestars that are IN STOCK? And how much?

The gun store where I work has a Sistema, refinished, with matching numbers except the mag. Priced at $400.00 but with a money order the price would be $388.00 plus shipping. Bore is sharp but spotty. I don't think pitted. Should clean up.

Number is 573-756-8999.

Hey,Eduardo why did your guys switch to the browning [I bought one of the Argintine HP's and its every bit as good as my $600.00 FN,other than the military finish]We may have all made a mistake dropping the.45's...

It's a big mistake, the change to the 9mm may be (sure!) a political cuestion...
But now, all the criminals in Argentina use "wonder Nine", (before, they use a .22 LR or .32, revolver).
Now, the 8 (7+1) .45 rounds agains the 13 or more rounds it's not safe.
Despite, the Ballester Molina, the Colt Modelo Argentino 1927 and the Sistema Colt, today are in service in somes states polices (provincias).
The old policeman loves the .45, the novice want the Glock...
(Sorry for my poor english)

The Joeken pistols appear to be the same ones that Century is currently selling. At that price Century lists the condition as FAIR.

The Joeken website doesn't bother to grade the pistols; given some folks in the AK world's poor experience with them, I'd get more info before I ordered from them.

The 1927 Argentine.45 for $339.99,from KY Imports is almost as good a deal[1-800-718-3643]and unlike my beloved Ballisters, the parts of a a 1927 will interchange with a colt's.

Just a question. The Hartford Colts. The marking on them in English or Spanish ? Since they were bought thru a " private ams dealer from Colt" Just a thought. Thanks

Very nice, Eduardo, She looks great ! I have one.But military finish, wooden grips I cut myself, Bomar sights. The thing about the BM-like a mule it has never failed to go boom. Had one in the 60's traded it off but I got another one, which I have near at hand, in 1985. Inexpensive but definitely not cheap firearms, cannot speak too highly of them. Ps, if anyone wondered as I did the Hartford Colts do have all markings in English. I just can't stay away from the 1911 and copies.I ordered a Hartford. Carlotta and the BM and the little child the Rock Island Arms Compact need another to make a foursome ! Thanks Eduarco on the comment.. :-)

Hello Eduardo and the rest of the crew.I think your English is very good Edu,I hope the other guys think the same of mine.I own two Ballesteres (.45 and .22) and I also own a 9mm Browning (built by Fabricaciones Militares "Rosarina") I love my four and a half (.45) but I prefer to bear my 9mm for self defense as tha Colts or Ballesteres are extremly big ,heavy and hold only 7 (or 8) cartridges instead of the 13 (14) that the Browning carries.Nevertheless both pieces of art were designed by John Moses so I think they are cousins and bear the attributes of the family.
allas!!! did I say that I love shooting with my BAllester at the Lomas Shooting in my southern suburbs of Buenos Aires?
Alejandro
