...but I've been trying to post a picture here for the last 30 minutes. The instructions seem to indicate that they are uploaded, to be hosted here I guess. But how is that accomplished? Through the upload attachment? I usually prefer to host my own images, as that allows me more control over compression and size. Anyway, just wondering, and thanks for another site to kick around with other Crufflers Adam! "The price of liberty is eternal vigilance." Thos. Jefferson |

Ok, I've tried to post images, and it seems to work just fine using the upload attachment button - can you tell me what, if any, error messages you're getting? Adam C. Firestone Editor-in-Chief CRUFFLER.COM http://www.cruffler.com |

When I tried the upload attachment button nothing happened. There was no error message, it just didn't do anything. I was expecting an opportunity to browse for the file to be uploaded. What should I be doing differently to post a picture? |

Please do this - try going into the discussion board and replying to a message - then before you enter a username or PW, hit, upload attachment, and let me know what happens. Thanks for indulging me.

I assume by replying you mean going to the "Add your message here" area. I Tried it. I clicked the buttton before I input anything. The button looks like it's being pressed, but nothing else happens. |

When I do it, from either IE or Netscape, both as a user or as an admin, I get another browser window popping up that lets me browse for a file. Is it possible that you're getting a window popping up, but that it's hidden behind other windows? If not, I'll bring this up with the software vendor. Thanks! Adam C. I've figured it out. (This is so embarassing) I had disabled active scripting, but hadn't added cruffler.com to my trusted sites (a crime in and of itself). Doug, try this and see if it works. As for you Adam, how could I have doubted that it was my own fault? My apologies.

Well, My problem was that I was trying to link to images I store on space at my ISP rather than upload them to be hosted here.

Oops, guess I should ID it, eh? It's a 1944 all-matching Izzy laminate re-arsenal. A little scuffed on the varnish, but otherwise pristine and a great shooter. "The price of liberty is eternal vigilance." Thos. Jefferson |

Yeah, I realized you were teasing, but then I looked over what I'd written and realized that it wasn't very clear and assumed a certain amount of knowledge that a newcomer to MNs, or C&R in general, may not have yet. Now about those ultra-collectible Ishapore M-44s... "The price of liberty is eternal vigilance." Thos. Jefferson |
