Gary Reed somehow finds time to write during his busy lifestyle as a Facilities Supervisor for a pharmaceutical packaging company and owner (with his wife) of a sandwich shop in Philadelphia, PA.  Now in his early
thirties, he's been writing fiction since he was in the ninth grade.

Gary is a graduate from Glassboro State College (now called Rowan University) with a Bachelors Degree in Communications and NJ Teaching Certificate in Secondary Education: English.  It was during these years
that he refined his writing skills.

He also served in the USAF Auxilary, aka Civil Air Patrol.  He began as a high school senior as a Cadet Airman and retired as a Senior Member holding the rank of Captain.  While serving in the Delaware Wing, he held such
positions as Squadron Commander, Deputy Squadron Commander, and Emergency Services Officer.  He developed and instructed cadets and senior officers such courses as American Red Cross First Aid and CPR, Ground Search and Rescue tactics, and Outdoor Survival.

An avid hunter in earlier years when spare time was abundant, Gary now works hard to find time to pursue his love for the hunting.  He enjoys hunting deer not only with bow and arrow and rifle, but with flintlock
muzzleloaders as well.  He treasures the time spent with his father and uncles at their cabin in Tioga County, North Central Pennsylvania.

Along with his passion for hunting, Gary holds a deep respect for old firearms, his preferences leaning to military weapons.  His current prize (named the "Mail Order Bride" by his wife) is the M1 Garand he received
through the DCM (Now CMP) after a 3-year wait.
